
Painter
After graduation from Chelsea School of Art (1981), Alexander Pemberton won a British Council Award to work in Spain, and, in 1983-4, he won an Elizabeth Greenshields Award to paint in Mexico.
He had solo exhibitions at Cadogan Contemporary (1992) and Chappel Galleries (2006), and has exhibited in many group shows – Austin Desmond Fine Art, Browse and Darby and Highgate Contemporary, New English Art club among others.
In 1995-6 he completed a mural at Sandwich Technology School, Kent (funded by the Foundation for Sport and the Arts).
In 2002-3 he created exhibitions of paintings for Embrace the Middle East charity, of Israel/Palestine (2003) and Armenia (2004), based on his journeys there.
In 2009 he showed paintings of the Thames at the River & Rowing museum, Henley.
His most recent solo exhibitions were at Abbott & Holder: ‘Thames Paintings‘ (2014) and ‚Still Lifes‘ (2022) and featured artist at Chappel Galleries: ‚Still Life paintings‘ (2023)
He has recently shown with the Urban Contemporaries 2019 – 2024.
